Pete was a convicted murderer who became a model prisoner in jail. He was in charge of the prison turkey flock.

We stopped at Yellow Bay State Park on the east shore of Flathead Lake for a picnic lunch.

We took an unplanned scenic detour through the Mission Valley when we missed a turn. The back roads were beautiful and we enjoyed the lush scenery.
