Redwood National Park
The first stop on my Montana road trip loop was Redwood National Park. I only stopped over for the night--I was making tracks north--but took the time for a short hike down Fern Canyon. The canyon is fairly unique; carved by the creek through soft gravel, the canyon floor is almost completely level. The vertical canyon walls are completely covered with ferns, especially five-finger ferns. It's a beautiful space, and quite lush.
