Lighthouse Bracing

Diamond bracing was added in 2002, replacing the original cables and turnbuckles. The struts created additional triangles -- this made the tower extremely stable even in extreme wind conditions, so it no longer needed to be guyed. The diamonds are also beautiful, adding to the structural symmetry.
