We had two kayaks and spent hours paddling the canals.
The north and west shores of Collier Bay were dense mangroves. There were lots of birds and other wildlife, including the occasional manatee and dolphin.
There was a beach at the outlet of Collier Bay.
Dad threw a fish to a nearby Pelican, which gladly swallowed it whole.
We used to have a place at Shipp's Landing and went back to visit.
